The work for the water main replacement includes replacing water mains downstream of the new 1 MG water storage tank and within Old Allamuchy Road, valves, fire hydrants, site work, and general construction. The two contracts can be bid together or separately. The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work as shown on the Drawings and as described in the Specifications. The work for the 1 MG Water Storage Tank Project (Contract 52W-A) consists of the removal of the existing 1 MG water storage tank and its appurtenances on Block 4, Lot 30 and the installation of a new 1 MG water storage tank on Block 4, Lot 1.05. The work for the 1 MG Water Storage Tank Project is located off Old Allamuchy Road. The Water Main Replacement Project (Contract 52W-B) includes replacing water mains downstream of the new 1 MG water storage tank. The Water Main Replacement Project is located downstream of the 1 MG water storage tank and within Old Allamuchy Road. Both Contracts are within Independence Township and include: site work, electrical work and general construction. The work for Contract 52W-A shall be completed within 730 calendar days and the work for Contract 52W-B shall be completed within 270 calendar days of the Contractor's receipt of written Notice to Proceed. The two Contracts can be bid together or separately. If the two Contracts are awarded to two separate Contractors, it should be noted that a portion of the Water Main Replacement Project (52W-B) must be complete before work on the 1 MG Water Storage Tank (52W-A) can begin (refer to IFB 0.21 and Scope Sections).
