Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; recreation facility; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, mechanics, superintendence, utilities, and other services required to construct the improvements per the specifications and attached drawings, including excavation, subgrade preparation, sanitary sewer, sanitary cleanouts, storm sewer, storm structures, CIPP main lining, water service, yard hydrants, PCC pavement, gravity retaining wall, chain link fencing and gates, seeding, erosion control, and related minor work items. Each proposal shall be made on a form furnished by Kirkham Michael, and no bidder may withdraw a proposal for a period of thirty days from and after the date set for opening of bids. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check drawn on an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States, or a certified share draft on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Bid Price, made payable to the Owner, or a bid bond on the form furnished by the Owner for a like amount, which shall be considered as liquidated damages and shall be forfeited to the Iowa State Fair if said proposal or bid is accepted and the bidder fails to execute the contract and file the required Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond as required in the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall commence work by March 1, 2026. The contractor shall complete all work items necessary to have the 2026 Iowa State Fair by July 16, 2026. Punch-list items shall be completed by November 1, 2026. The Iowa State Fair Board of Directors, reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any irregularities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Iowa State Fair Board of Directors, Des Moines, Iowa for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days of the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding the Contract.
