Expression of Interest ONLY This interior renovation project consists of creating new restrooms and renovating existing restrooms to be ADA code compliant at the College of Staten Island. The work will be carried out in the Campus Center 1C (all floors), Library 1L (all floors), Performing Arts 1P (1st floor only), and Administration Building 1A (1st floor only). Demolition work includes removal of existing gypsum wall board walls and ceilings, wall tiles, floor tiles, toilet partitions, doors and frames, and partial removal of vinyl composition tile or carpet in adjacent spaces impacted by the work. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) removals will involve existing fixtures, lighting, power and fire alarm devices, sprinklers, ductwork, diffusers, and existing roof exhaust fans. The work will also require opening existing roof slabs for new mechanical work and partial opening of existing slabs on grade for new plumbing work. Project Scope: This interior renovation project creates new restrooms and renovates existing restrooms to provide restrooms that are ADA compliant and also provides the code compliant number of plumbing fixtures. The scope of the project will include the installation of new floor drains in all new and renovated restrooms. This will have an impact to both the ceilings, walls and floors below. As well, the scope of the project also includes the installation and replacement of ADA compliant drinking fountains.
