Question Deadline 01/06/2026 at 12:00 PM ET If any person contemplating submitting a bid for the proposed contract is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the plans, specifications, or other proposed contract documents, he/she may submit to the City through the City Purchasing Department a written request for information The successful bidder is required to supply all labor, materials, and equipment to perform the Trickling Filter Pump Repair Project at the Watertown Wastewater Treatment Plant as described in the specifications, bidding documents, and as directed by the City Engineer. The work includes: 1. Removing, inspecting, repairing, and reinstalling two Vertical Turbine Pumps: one Pump Service International Pump model no. 1-H10 (2800gpm, TDH 28.9) and one Process System Inc Industrial Vertical Turbine Pump model no. 1-H10-LMF (2800gpm, TDH 26). 2. Removing and transporting the pumps to the bidder's facility. 3. Repairing the pumps to OEM performance and reliability. 4. Installing a new stuffing box to accommodate a 1.00" or 1.25" Flowserve mechanical seal or equivalent, with equivalent seals being interchangeable with the stated Flowserve mechanical seals. 5. Sandblasting and recoating the pump head and housing inside and out to OEM specifications. 6. Repairing or replacing the pump shaft, couplings, and impeller to OEM specifications. 7. Transporting and reinstalling the pumps at the City of Watertown PCF. 8. Starting up the pumps to verify manufacturer specifications and operational capabilities. 9. Both pumps may be removed at the same time or sequentially, except that only one pump at a time may be removed from service between April 1 and August 31. 10. Paying employees as per NYS Prevailing Wage Rate Determination # 2025014889, whichever pay rate is greatest for each respective job classification/title. Bidders must provide all required insurance and bonds, including listing the City of Watertown as certificate holder, and all insurances must be active for the project's duration. Each bid must include security of not less than 5% of the bid, and the successful bidder must provide a performance bond of not less than 100% of the accepted bid. The City Council reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to reject any or all bids. Conditions of employment and minimum wage rates to be paid under this contract must be observed. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
