Site work for a water / sewer project in Bethany, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project includes installation of 550 feet of 4-inch waterline to realign the current parallel waterlines that run beneath the bridge on E. 165th Street in preparation for future bridge repairs. The waterline installation includes a stream crossing with steel casing for each relocated waterline, valves, valve access vaults, and trace wire in accordance with the project drawings. All bidders must purchase plans through Great River Engineering, Inc. and be on the planholder list in order to bid the project. The contract requires payment of the prevailing hourly rate of wages as determined by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, and the United States Department of Labor, with payment of the higher of these two rates. Contractors and subcontractors must provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program or similar approved program for on-site employees within sixty days of beginning work. A certified cashier's check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% must be submitted with each proposal. The project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project. The Harrison County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids. No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project. A. Extent of each type of dampproofing work is indicated on drawings and as follows: 1. Manholes, all types and locations. 2. Valve Vaults. 3. All underground tanks. 4. Similar work used as exposed finish is excluded by definition and, if required, is specified as waterproofing, vapor barrier, roofing, flooring, special coating or other appropriate category. B. This Section includes the following: 1. Cold-applied, cut-back asphalt dampproofing. Questions should be directed to the Engineer of Record. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered
