Demolition, site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Bethany, Missouri. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; and bridge / tunnel.
The proposed work includes the demolition of an existing bridge and the construction of a new 100-foot single span prestressed concrete NU girder bridge. Guardrail, riprap, and permanent erosion control will be installed along with any other incidental work in accordance with plans and specifications. All bidders must purchase plans through Great River Engineering and be on the planholder list to bid. This contract requires payment of the prevailing hourly wage rates as determined by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations and the United States Department of Labor. Bidders must be on MoDOT’s Qualified Contractor List and have the contractor questionnaire on file 7 days prior to bid opening. Contractors and subcontractors must provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program to be completed by on-site employees within sixty days of beginning work. A certified cashier’s check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% must be submitted with each proposal. No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed. The project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder.
