Renovation of a military facility in Leesport, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The project involves the design-build construction of an emergency generator system at Blue Marsh Dam. The scope includes providing a complete backup power solution to ensure operational continuity during power outages. Work will encompass engineering design, procurement, installation, and integration of the generator system with existing infrastructure. The contractor will be responsible for all associated electrical connections, controls, and compliance with applicable codes and standards. Additional tasks include site preparation, testing, and commissioning of the system to guarantee full functionality and reliability. **Location:** Blue Marsh Dam, 1268 Palisades Drive, Leesport, PA 19533. Construction Magnitude is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days and complete it within 807 calendar days. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. This two-phase design-build construction project requires the awardee to provide the design, construction, and commissioning of an emergency generator system, replacement of the Motor Control Center (MCC), and replacement of the service transformer for the Bernville Protective Works. The project is broken out into the base bid (Emergency Generator) plus two options including option 1 MCC, and option 2 service transformer as described in the specifications. Demolition and modifications of the existing electrical system and site features are required. A diesel-powered emergency generator is required to power storm water pumping operations at the Bernville Protective Works in the event of public utility power failure. The loads generally consist of startup and running transient current demands of the six 250 Horsepower (HP) storm water pumps, dewatering (sump) pumps, controls, general loads (lighting, ventilation, convenience receptacles, etc., as well as other operational motor loads. The MCC and service transformer have surpassed their life expectancy and are included as options in the project. They must be replaced if the options are exercised.
