Sealed bids are requested for the Lyons Water Plant (North) and Reserve Water Storage Tank Rehabilitation Project. Bids must be addressed to the designated Purchasing and Procurement Department, submitted either in person or electronically, and clearly marked with the bidder's information and project name. Bid documents are available through the parish website and central bidding platform. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held prior to the bid submission deadline. Questions must be submitted in writing by the specified deadline. Bidders must comply with all requirements in the bidding documents, including employment and equal opportunity regulations. Participation by minority, female-owned, and local businesses is encouraged. Special accommodations are available upon request for persons with disabilities. No bids may be withdrawn for forty-five days after opening, except as provided by law. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. SUMMARY OF WORK The Scope of the contract work is to rehabilitate two water storage tanks in St. John the Baptist Parish that are in critical condition: the Lyons Water Plant (North) 500,000 Gallon and the Reserve 500,000 Gallon Water Storage Tanks. The repairs for the Lyons Water Plant (North) 500,000-Gallon Above-Ground Storage Tank will consist of preparing and coating the exterior surface and completing interior spot and pit repairs. The repairs for the Reserve 500,000-Gallon Elevated Water Storage Tank will consist of preparing and coating the exterior surface of the existing elevated water storage tank. This project consists of furnishing all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, and other resources necessary to repair the water storage tanks. CONTRACTOR SHALL HOLD A LOUISIANA CONTRACTOR’S LICENSE IN PAINTING, COATING AND BLASTING (INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL). The BID package includes the following: 1. Public Works Bid Form 2. Bid Bond 3.
