Sealed bids are requested for recycling services at designated facilities. Bids must be submitted either electronically or at the specified office by the stated deadline. Only a bid bond, certified check, or cashier’s check is acceptable as bid security. Electronic bids must include copies of both the front and back of the check or bid bond. The bid must be signed, and a Corporate Resolution or Certificate of Authority authorizing the signer must be submitted with the bid. Each bid requires a certified check or cashier's check in the amount of $500 or a bid bond for five percent of the base bid plus additive alternates. The bid bond must meet specified requirements regarding issuer and licensing. Bids are to be submitted only on the provided form, and the successful bidder is required to execute the contract in conformity with the contract documents within ten days. Bids may not be withdrawn for forty-five days after opening. The purchaser will evaluate bids based on responsibility, responsiveness, and compliance with bid documents. There is encouragement for the participation and utilization of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in all contracts or procurements.
