Renovation of an educational facility in Carterville, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.

Project consists of renovation of the 3rd floor of the existing B-wing portion of John A. Logan's main campus building. The purpose of the project is to relocate the nursing program to eventually house the entire program in one building. This 3rd floor project consists of the interior build-out of lab and classroom space, a tutor lounge, offices, and accessory spaces such as restrooms and storage rooms. The project will utilize non-structural steel framing, a glazed storefront wall, and interior finishes such as LVT flooring, acoustic ceilings, and painted gypsum board walls. Plumbing, mechanical, and electrical are commensurate to the project. Bids will be received for a general contract (all trades). All contractors and subcontractors are required to pay State Prevailing Wage Rates. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. The agency reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the work. A performance bond, separate labor and material payment bond, and insurance in a form acceptable to the agency will be required of the successful bidder. Only complete sets of documents will be issued. Bidders must pay a non-refundable deposit for obtaining printed or electronic procurement and contracting documents. Time of completion requires the successful bidder to begin work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and to achieve substantial completion within 356 calendar days. Final completion shall be achieved prior to May 1, 2027. Prospective prime bidders are requested to attend a prebid meeting.
