Site work for a water / sewer project in Tarentum, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed proposals will be received for the 7th & Ormond Sanitary Sewer Installation project (CDBG Year 50-3.12.13), located in Tarentum Borough. Plans, specifications, forms of contract, instructions to bidders, and proposal forms for all projects must be obtained from LSSE Civil Engineers and Surveyors. A non-refundable fee is required for the bid documents. Proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished and be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in an amount not less than ten percent of the base bid. Bid envelopes must be clearly marked with the Bidder's Company Name, Bid Book Number, and Project Title. Compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act and other federal labor standards, civil rights provisions, and equal opportunity requirements is required. There are specified goals for Minority, Female, and Veteran-Owned Business participation. This is a Section 3 Project under the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 and must, to the greatest extent feasible, utilize lower income residents and Section 3 business concerns. All relevant federal general conditions are to be incorporated by reference into all construction contracts and subcontracts.
