San Gabriel High School Alternations Project Bid Package 2 is a Lease-leaseback project for Alhambra USD. The work consists of voluntary seismic upgrade to existing buildings G and VA. The scope includes replacement of HVAC equipment at Building E, replacement of plumbing and piping fixtures, replacement of interior light fixtures, finish upgrades, accessibility upgrades, fire alarm upgrades, new theatrical lighting system, theatrical rigging, and new stadium announcer’s booth. The current Bid Package includes Demolition/Abatement, Earthwork, Asphalt, Site Utilities, Concrete, Shotcrete, Structural FRP, Steel, Carpentry, Casework, Roofing, Insulation, Sheet Metal, Doors/Frames/Hardware, Glazing, Drywall, Plaster, Ceramic Tile, Acoustical Ceiling, Flooring, Gym Flooring, Athletic Equipment, Painting, Theatrical Drapery, Classroom Accessories, Restroom Accessories, Plumbing, and Fire Alarm. HVAC and Electrical Subcontractors were awarded previously in Bid Package 1. All MEP subcontractors must be prequalified with Alhambra USD and submit a prequalification questionnaire to the district ten days prior to the bid opening if not already prequalified. Subcontractors must comply with general prevailing wage rates and be registered with the DIR.CA.gov before submitting a bid. Each bidder must be a licensed contractor in the classification required for the work to be performed at the time of bid submission and must maintain the licenses throughout the duration of the project.
