Renovation of a mixed-use development in Columbia, South Carolina. Working plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The requirement is for a one-time service to replace flooring on Ward 4 East (4E) at the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina. The contractor shall provide all labor, travel, equipment, supplies, and materials necessary to remove existing flooring, including sanding and scarifying approximately 12,534 square feet, and prepare the floor using Ardex XF (approximately 168 bags) and Schonox RF (approximately 17 bags). The contractor will install Mannington Biospec MD and Realities III sheet vinyl or an exact match/equal, with colors determined after award, using 6-0 and 6-6 sheet vinyl rolls per floor plan specifications. Work includes installing transitions, epoxy flooring in bathrooms, and wall bases with flashcove in specified areas. A dumpster must be supplied for debris, which must be removed from the campus upon completion. The contractor shall ensure the work area is clearly blocked off to prevent disruption and comply with safety requirements, including securing tools and equipment and removing debris daily. All personnel must have 10-hour OSHA training. Work will be performed during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and federal holidays, and must be completed within three months of award. Location: WJB Dorn VA Medical Center, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
