Sealed bids are invited for the demolition of the structure at 1031 Morningside Avenue in Sioux City, Iowa. The project includes demolition of the structure, removal of fuel tanks, canopy, and pedestal signs, removal of debris, and site work. Bids must be submitted on forms provided by the City and accompanied by a bid bond or certified funds equal to ten percent of the bid amount. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, but the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, readvertise, or waive informalities as deemed in its best interest. Work must begin upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed and be fully completed on or before June 1, 2026. Specifications follow the 2025 Iowa Statewide Urban Standard Specifications for Public Improvements, as modified by the 2024 City of Sioux City Supplement, with particular attention to SUDAS Division 10, Demolition. Question Deadline 01/06/2026 Questions received less than seven (7) days prior to the date for opening bids may not be answered. All questions about the meaning or intent of the bidding documents shall be submitted to the Engineer in writing.
