The work consists of the replacement of the Edwards Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) at Wilson Elementary School. Bids must be enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope, plainly marked with the Project Title "Fire Alarm Panel Replacement" and must include the name and address of the Bidder. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders. The City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to make an award, or to decline to make an award. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference at Wilson Elementary School is required for all bidders, except those who attended the mandatory meeting for ITB 26011. Question Deadline 01/09/2026 at 2:00 PM ET All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bid Documents must be submitted to the CITY's ProcureWare website Removal and disposal of the existing Edwards fire alarm panel. _ Furnishing and installing a non-proprietary, addressable fire alarm control panel with a minimum of four (4) loops. One loop shall be a 250-point loop installed at time of commissioning. _ Installation of a new smoke detector above the FACP location in accordance with code. _ Integration of existing initiating and notification devices to the new FACP, unless replacement is required for code or compatibility reasons. _ Programming, testing, and commissioning of the new system. _ Training for school facilities staff on system operation. _ Submission of as-built drawings and O&M manuals upon completion. The system shall include but not be limited to: _ Four-loop system fire alarm control panel with one 250-point loop installed, 110V, gray door. _ Upload/Download dialer/modem, dual-line RJ31, mounted to base plate. _ Audio Notification Panel, 100W amplifier including DMR Temporal Pattern Power Supply, battery charger, standard message microphone, and red cabinet (14.5" x 18" x 4"). _ UL/ULC listed intelligent multi-criteria optical smoke detector. _ Detector base (standard for 4" square box, includes TS4 skirt). _ Installation of a UL-listed dual-line dialer/communicator to transmit alarms, supervisory, and trouble signals to the central Station-Rapid response All equipment must be open-protocol / non-proprietary, with availability from multiple authorized distributors and without restriction to a single proprietary vendor for programming or service All work shall comply with: _ NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) _ NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code) _ Connecticut State Fire Safety Code _ Local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements See below for additional information released with ITB 26011 for same Scope of Work.
