Construction of a network-connected, ADA-compliant, box-span traffic signal system at the intersection of 3rd Street and Broadway in Niles, Michigan. Work includes the installation of a pole-mounted signal cabinet, vehicle and pedestrian signal heads, span wire assembly, pushbuttons, signage, conduit, wiring, and associated appurtenances. The project also includes installation of intersection monitoring equipment including a weather station, ground temperature probe, and network cameras. Most of the signal equipment and materials have been previously purchased by the City of Niles and will be furnished to the Contractor for installation. The Contractor shall coordinate work with the City of Niles Utilities Department, City Information Systems Division, and Carrier & Gable as outlined in the contract documents. 3rd & Broadway Traffic Signal Project A Certified Check or Bid Bond in an Amount of Not Less Than Five Percent (5%) of the Amount of the Proposal Will Be Required With Each Proposal. Proposals Submitted Without the Certified Check or Bid Bond Will Not Be Accepted. All Bidders Are Required to Sign a Certificate of Compliance That They Will Comply With All Federal and State Non-discrimination Laws and Regulations. The City Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Proposals, to Waive Irregularities in Proposals and to Accept the Proposal That, in the Opinion of the City Council, is Most Advantageous to the City. No Proposal Shall Be Withdrawn After the Opening of Proposals for a Period of Thir-ty (30) Days After the Scheduled Time of Receiving Bids. Question Deadline 05/22/2026 at 3:00 PM ET
