Line 187 is one of Foothill Transit's highest ridership routes. Foothill Transit is seeking a cloud-based TSP system that can utilize the GTFS-RT data feed from the agency's Avail Technologies CAD/AVL system, without the need to install additional equipment on the buses. Foothill Transit would also like the system to have the ability to interface with the LA County RIITS system if needed at a future date. Aside from the implementation of the TSP system, the selected contractor will be responsible for making the intersections in the project area TSP-compatible. Specifics tasks will include the design, purchase, programming, configuration, and installation of jurisdiction-approved signal controllers, communications between the TSP system and the signal controllers, and any programming or configurations needed for the cloud-based TSP system.
