Sealed bids are requested for Various Exterior Paint Projects at Hollencrest Middle School, Walnut Grove Intermediate School, West Covina High School, and the Family Resource Center. The contract time is fifty-four (54) calendar days. Bidders must be registered contractors on the District’s informal bidding list and hold a valid and active Class C-33 License at the time of bid and for the duration of the contract. Bids must be submitted electronically on District-furnished forms via PQBids.com. Attendance at the entire mandatory pre-bid conference and job walk is required; only those who attend and remain for the duration will receive bid documents. Each bid must include a bidder's security of not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid amount, in the form of cash, cashier's check, certified check, or a bidder's bond, all payable to the District. The successful bidder must provide separate Performance and Payment Bonds, each for 100% of the contract amount before execution. The Contractor and all subcontractors must comply with all prevailing wage requirements. Subcontractors must be appropriately licensed, and bidders must submit a list of designated subcontractors with their bid. Bids must strictly conform to the Contract Documents. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any irregularities or informalities. Certified payroll records must be submitted monthly. Requests for product substitutions must be made at the time of bid using the provided form. Compliance with Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Programs is required where applicable.
