Site work, paving, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Rohnert Park, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a 3,160-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; service station / car wash facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The work is described generally as, but not limited to, new construction of a single-story Public Works utilities administration building at the City of Rohnert Park Pump Station located at 201 J. Rogers Lane, Rohnert Park, CA 94928 and new secured parking area, which includes AC paving, two electric vehicle charging stations and parking lot lighting near the City of Rohnert Park Animal Shelter located at 301 J. Rogers Lane, Rohnert Park, CA 94928. Public access to Animal Shelter cannot be impeded during construction, one vehicle lane and pedestrian access to be available and access to the shelter to be open at all times. Pump Station site must remain secured when left unattended and at the end of each work day. Contractor to provide a site logistics plan and traffic and pedestrian control plan as part of the submittal process demonstrating public access to the Animal Shelter and security of Pump Station. Contractor to protect in place the below ground 24" public sewer system force main (SSFM) when performing construction activities on site (see Plan Sheet A1.1 for exact location). Note small tools and/or hydroexcavation shall be required when performing demolition near the SSFM. All work near SSFM to be performed under Public Works Inspector supervision. Contractor to notify City immediately if SSFM is impacted. The Contractor must have a valid California contractor's license, a Class A General Engineering License and/or Class B General Building License. The Contractor must begin work within fifteen (15) calendar days after official notice by the City Engineer to proceed with the work and must diligently prosecute the same to completion within 260 business days of that Notice. Per California Civil Code Section 9550, a payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid total will be required from the successful bidder for bids exceeding twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000). A performance bond will also be required for bids exceeding twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000). The bond(s) must be provided within ten (10) calendar days from notice of award and prior to the performance of any work. The City reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects in bidding not involving time, price or quality of the work. The City may reject any and all bids and waive any minor irregularity in the bids. To ensure receipts of addendums, any party interested in the Project shall place their information with the Department of Public Works at 707-588-3300 or PWProjects@rpcity.org. Submit requests for information (RFIs) by FRIDAY, JANUARY 16, 2026 AT 4:00PM, to the Department of Public Works at PWProjects@rpcity.org and/or LLuchini@rpcity.org.
