The work will take place at the Rohnert Park Cotati Regional Library located at 6250 Lynne Conde Way in Rohnert Park. The work is generally described as: demolish existing interior lights, lighting controls, fire alarm control panel, initiating and signaling devices, Variable Air Volume (VAVs) systems, coil units, 1-packaged HVAC rooftop unit and exhaust fans. Provide and install new electrical equipment, fire alarm control panel, and initiating and signaling devices. Provide and install new VAVs, coil units, a new packaged HVAC roof top unit, new relocated exhaust fans and extended exterior ducting. Provide and install new lighting and controls for all removed/demolished and built-in furniture light fixtures. The Contractor must have a valid California contractors license, a Class B, General Building Contractor License is required. The Engineers estimate for this Project is $1,550,000. All prospective bidders are requested to carefully review the plans and specifications and to examine and conduct tests or otherwise satisfy themselves as to the conditions at the Project site, subject to coordination with the office of the Rohnert Park City Engineer. Each bid must be submitted on the bid forms furnished by the City and must include all the items shown on these forms. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is mandatory for all prime contractors submitting a bid. Additional site visits can be scheduled for those who have attended the pre-bid conference if the City is notified twenty-four hours in advance. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects in bidding not involving time, price or quality of the work. The City may reject any and all bids and waive any minor irregularity in the bids. Per California Civil Code Section 9550, a payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid total will be required from the successful bidder for bids exceeding twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000). A performance bond will also be required for bids exceeding twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000). The bond(s) must be provided within ten calendar days from notice of award and prior to the performance of any work. All contractors and subcontractors must furnish electronic certified payroll records directly to the Labor Commissioner (aka Division of Labor Standards Enforcement).
