Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Kettering, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a educational facility; playground / park / athletic field; educational facility; and educational facility.
The intent is to contract for professional design services for improvements as part of master facilities planning. Professional design services are required to assist with pre-bond issuance planning and facilities master planning for future projects, which may be completed under the OFCC Expedited Local Partnership Program (ELPP). The scope includes building a new middle school, selective abatement, demolition, and construction of the current high school, as well as targeted renovations to nine elementary schools and athletic fields in support of phase one of the Master Facilities Plan. The estimated budget for phase one is $222,000,000. Additional similar improvements may be included as identified during the design phase. No fee estimate is required at the time of submittal. Firms submitting qualifications will be evaluated and ranked; top firms may be asked to present qualifications and proposed approaches before final selection. Compensation and agreement for services will be negotiated with the selected firm. Three copies of qualifications must be submitted in writing before the stated deadline. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all submissions and may waive defects or irregularities.
