City of Kettering - 3600 Shroyer Road- Kettering, OH 45429 ketteringengineering@ketteringoh.org CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS 2.16.1 Unless otherwise specified, all construction must comply with the then current City of Kettering Standards and Specifications. The then current Construction and Material Specifications of the Ohio Department of Transportation are also made a part of the specifications. In case of conflict, the contract controls followed by the City of Kettering Standards and Specifications. 2.16.2 The "as per plan" designation is intended to assist bidders in identifying standard items that have been altered by plan notes. It is the responsibility of the bidders to read, bid, and construct all items in accordance with all governing plan notes. The absence of "as per plan" designation on some item descriptions in the proposal for which clear and controlling plan notes exist does not relieve the bidder of this responsibility. The item descriptions in the Section Item List must be read or interpreted with all governing plan notes and related City of Kettering and Ohio Department of Transportation specifications. A claim based upon "order of precedence" basis will be denied. In the event that a conflict, either real or perceived, exists between the item description and the governing plan note, the bidders are to request clarification through the pre-bid process.
