Site work for a recreation facility in West Orange, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a recreation facility.

As of January 14, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The project consists of site improvements to the Oskar Schindler Performing Arts Center and the adjoining Crystal Lake recreation area. Work will create additional amenities for better utilization of the parks area. Improvements include approximately 4,100 square yards of milling with installation of 500 tons of hot mix asphalt surface course on Boland Drive between Prospect Avenue and The Pointe at Crystal Lake development. Additional work involves reconstruction of the existing asphalt drive with about 360 cubic yards of excavation, 230 cubic yards of dense graded aggregate base course, 300 tons of HMA base course, and 150 tons of HMA surface course, replacement of about 500 square yards of paver walks and patios, installation of 330 linear feet of decorative fencing, installation of premier stadium seating and ADA accessible seating area for stage view, reconstruction of the existing retaining walls, 160 square yards of concrete sidewalk, 430 linear feet of concrete curbing, traffic striping, vegetative clearing and tree removal, and related work. Bidders must submit proposals on the forms provided, enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond of at least 10% of the bid amount (not less than $500 nor more than $20,000), along with a Consent of Surety statement. A Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Record of Recent Contract Awards must also be included. Proposal forms must remain bound and intact. Bidders must have a Business Registration Certificate from the New Jersey Department of Treasury and comply with requirements for an affirmative action program for equal employment opportunity. Bidders must submit a statement of stockholders or partners owning ten percent or more of its stock or interest. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after opening. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept any bid in the best interest of the Township. QA date- 12/26/2026 Every request for such interpretation should be in writing, addressed to the Engineer, at the address included in the advertisement and to be given consideration must be received no later than ten (10) days (Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excepted) prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids.
