Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Grand Island, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The work includes all labor, materials, transportation, and equipment required for the construction of a reinforced concrete box culvert and associated grading for the Cairo Southwest Airport Road Project (Project No. C-40(562)), specifically to build a twin 8' x 5' x 42' concrete box culvert according to Special Plan 1. Proposals must be signed and submitted on the forms furnished with the Bid Documents, with only Division 5 to be submitted. Each bidder is required to submit with their proposal a Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable, without condition, to the County Treasurer of Hall County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five percent of their proposal. The contractor awarded the contract must provide within ten days a surety bond or bonds equal to the full contract amount, with the form and surety subject to approval by the Hall County Board of Commissioners. The bid must include an estimated time of beginning and completion. The contractor will have 60 calendar days for completion of the work. The Hall Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to pass upon the regularity, and to waive any irregularities. The contract will be awarded according to the "Competitive Bidding; Consideration" provisions of the COUNTY PURCHASING ACT, Nebraska Statutes, and at the discretion of the Hall County Board of Commissioners based on the lowest or best bid. Sealed bids will be received by the Hall County Clerk, Hall County Administration Building, 200 South Sycamore Street, Grand Island NE 68801, until 8:30am CST, for construction of a reinforced concrete box culvert and associated grading in Hall County in Nebraska and other work incidental thereto. The required completion date of the project is June 1, 2026. The Engineer has located roadway centerline and established stationing and benchmarks for accomplishment of the work. The Engineer will establish centerline of the pipes and box culverts and will provide three lines of blue tops, slope stakes and ROW stakes. All other staking, as required, shall be done by the Contractor at his expense. Any re-staking required will be at the Contractor's expense. The Contractor shall notify the Engineer 72 hours prior to beginning work at each site and before any of the following work items shall be performed at each site: A. Mobilization to the Site B. Clearing and Grubbing C. Removal of Existing Structure D. Grading Operations E. Box Culvert Construction F. Site Clean-up CONCRETE BOX CULVERT Sta. 8+55 Build Twin 8' x 5' x 42' Concrete Box Culvert Special Plan 1 The Contractor will be required to remove the existing structure: Sta. 8+54.40 Existing 12' x 5' x 24' Single Barrel Concrete Box Culvert
