The work includes site demolition, building demolition, asbestos abatement, and onsite concrete crushing at 105 Community Blvd. in Wheeling, Illinois. Bidders must submit a bid bond, certified check, or cashier’s check for not less than ten percent of the total base bid amount. The successful bidder must furnish satisfactory performance and labor & material payment bonds for the total contract amount and enter into a legal contract with the Owner. All bid prices shall remain firm for sixty days after the official bid opening. This project requires prevailing wage rates. Bidders must certify compliance with laws governing bid-rigging, bid rotation, equal opportunity employment, and sexual harassment. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bids or waive any formalities if deemed in the public or Park District’s best interest. Minority and Women-Owned Businesses (M/WBE) are encouraged to submit bids and to be utilized as subcontractors.
