The work shall generally consist of: BASE BID: Installation of a new 6" diameter PVC water main and appurtenances and abandonment of existing water mains. The new main will consist of approximately 1,320 LF of 6" PVC trenched water main. Included with the work will be connections to existing mains, new valves, hydrant installation, tapping sleeves & valves, block/plug of existing mains, service reconnections, and pavement removal and replacement. - The following work will be performed by others concurrently with the Work of this Contract: 1. For locations where lead service line replacement is required from the new main to 18" inside the residence, or the first valve inside the residence, the City will complete the replacement from the curb valve to the residence and make the final connection to the existing water piping inside the residence. Contractor shall coordinate with the City in advance of transferring services to the new main. - The new main will consist of approximately 1,300 LF of 6" PVC trenched water main and 22 LF of 6" PVC water main in a 10" PVC casing. Included with the work will be connections to existing mains, new valves, hydrant installation, tapping sleeves & valves, line stops, block/plug of existing mains, service reconnections, and pavement removal and replacement. The Contract time for completion of the Contract shall be a total of 120 consecutive calendar days.
