Hopkins and Hayes - Rm Renovations Submit all questions regarding this RFQ in writing to Rob Grogan at grogan.72@osu.edu with the project number included in the subject line (no phone calls please) The project OSU-260012 involves renovations in Hopkins Hall and Hayes Hall to create specialized studio spaces for photography, drawing, and design. In Hopkins Hall, Rooms 358 and 360 will be converted into a photography lighting studio totaling 1,436 square feet, with no abatement anticipated. Existing lighting will remain, and mechanical and electrical modifications will be made. The space will feature dark finishes similar to vinyl flooring and black walls and ceilings, furniture, AV, or new data installations. Rooms 162 and 262 in Hopkins Hall will become drawing studios totaling 2,359 square feet, with potential limited abatement at tie-ins for two new sinks. Existing lighting will remain, and mechanical and electrical modifications will be necessary. These rooms will have white walls and ceilings with trackable wall finishes, an AV package similar to Hopkins 480, and no new furniture or data except for projector connections. In Hayes Hall, Rooms 300, 302, 302A, and 304 will be renovated into design studios totaling 2,956 square feet, requiring abatement of approximately 80 square feet of flooring with contaminated mastic. Refinish existing flooring, and mechanical and electrical modifications will be necessary. Each room will receive a new sink tied into existing plumbing, white walls and ceilings with Tackable finishes, an AV package, Lenel swipe access, furniture, or additional data will be provided beyond AV requirements. Across all spaces, the scope excludes photo developing activities, minimizes abatement, and focuses on functional upgrades to support studio use.
