Site work for a water / sewer project in Columbus, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Columbus Water & Power (CWP), Division of Water Reclamation (DWR), has identified the Twin Lakes Dredging Project | Bliss Run improvements and is seeking proposals from qualified engineering firms. The Twin Lakes consist of the Upper and Lower lakes, located South of Bexley, Ohio, adjacent to US 33 (College Avenue). Historically, the lakes were dredged for the first time in 1966 and again in 1996. Twin Lakes are located on either side of US 33 (College Avenue) and are hydraulically connected to Bliss Run, a tributary that flows through and/or into the lakes. In 2024, a preliminary study was conducted to identify the cause of heavy sedimentation in the lakes and provide recommendations for potential mitigation measures. The purpose of this project is to provide detailed design, specifications, contract documents, and other permits required to dredge the twin lakes and install a forebay and hydrodynamic separators where feasible. The overall goal is not only to dredge the lakes but also to improve the hydraulics of the Bliss Run creek and the Lakes, and ultimately slow down the rate of sedimentation in the lakes
