The Project consists of an addition to the existing asphalt parking lot with grading modifications along with the replacement of broken concrete parking lot between the dumpster enclosure and garage in the rear parking lot of the Romeo-Washington-Bruce Parks and Recreation Building. The proposed asphalt parking lot addition will consist of cutting down existing grade of the grass area to the North/West of the existing parking lot, followed by approximately 252 square yards of asphalt pavement, with grading around the perimeter to match existing slopes. The concrete parking lot repair will be approximately 160 square yards and match existing grades. Additional scope will include the removal of existing parking lot lines and adding new pavement markings for parking spaces and a no parking zone. Additionally, parking blocks will be added to the existing asphalt lot to ensure proper parking protection. While the removal of an existing tree stump is included within the scope of this project, the trimming of existing trees will be coordinated separately. Items not included in the scope of this design are the proposed Bus Enclosure and associated Electrical Extensions. The proposed bus enclosure will match existing enclosure and extend to the North within the proposed asphalt parking lot addition. The Owner is to provide drawings and guidance for the Bus Enclosure. Please note that the contractor awarded this contract will be required to coordinate with the contractor constructing the Bus Enclosure Extension. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all base or alternative Bid items of work, in whole or in part, and to waive any informalities, therein when such waiver is in the interest of the Owner, and to award the Contract to other than the low Bidder. Bids shall remain firm for a period of 60 days.
