Separate sealed bids will be received for 2026 Annual Water Sanitary Utility Repairs. Bids may be mailed or delivered to the Qualified Purchasing Agent at 140 Eagle Rock Avenue, Roseland, NJ 07068. Bids will be opened and read in public at the Borough of Roseland Municipal Building, 140 Eagle Rock Avenue, Floor 2, Roseland, NJ 07068 at 10:30 am on the specified date. No bids will be received after the specified time and date. Specifications and other bid information may be obtained at the office of the Municipal Clerk, 140 Eagle Rock Avenue, Level 2, during regular business hours Monday through Friday, between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, or may be downloaded from the Borough's website by registering. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and 17:27-1 et seq. No interpretations of the meaning of the Contract Documents will be made orally by the Engineer to any prospective bidder. Question Deadline 12/31/2025 WORK INCLUDED General: Under this Contract, the work to be performed under this Contract shall consist of routine and emergency maintenance and repair, as directed by Owner or Engineer. Once authorization is given for work, the Contractor must mobilize within 1.5 hours. Once mobilized, the Contractor must remain on site until repair is completed, including restoration. Payment for work on the project will start only upon the start of physical work, no payment will be made for estimation of work. No standby cost will be paid for delays for failure to have required pipe material available for delivery to the site. Contractor shall notify all utility companies prior to construction of the work under this contract including the utility "Call Before You Dig" requirement at 1-800-272-1000 for any excavation or asphalt paving work under the contract. The Contractor shall maintain an inventory of two (2) lengths of pipe of the following in stock, as preparation to respond to emergencies. No standby cost will be paid for delays for failure to have required pipe material available for delivery to the site. o PVC - SDR 26 (8") o DIP - CL Class 52 (6". 8", 10", 12") In general, the principal base bid items of work under this contract include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:Site preparation, within the boundaries shown on the Contract Drawings. 2) Emergency repairs as directed by the Owner or Engineer. 3) Temporary support of all existing utilities, including storm, gas, water, sanitary and electric. 4) Site work, such as clearing, paving and general site restoration. 5) Provide all temporary servicesincluding power, lighting, heating,security and potable water.Maintain continuous operation of the existing water or sewer system without any disruption in operation and service. 8) Exploration of test pits to ascertain the more exact location of utilities and other structures and any foundationsforsame, which might interfere with construction. The excavation of test pits shall be one of the first items of work as directed by Engineer/Owner. 9) Schedule and coordinate the work with the Owner and other contractors. 10) Daily clean-up ofsite, including removal of rubbish, and sweeping area, including dust control. 11) Soil erosion and sediment control. 12) All other work required for a complete and satisfactory operating installation.
