Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Panama City, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The intent of this contract is to provide for the removal and replacement of rail serving the West Terminal. The base bid includes but is not limited to significant site work and new rail construction as summarized: replace rails and required improvements for the existing rail infrastructure at the West Terminal facility on all tracks; install multiple rail turnouts, crossings, and connect to existing adjacent tracks. Bidders are to furnish all labor and materials and perform all work as specified. Guarantee will be required with each bid as follows: at least 5% of the amount of bid in the form of a certified check or bid bond payable to the Panama City Port Authority. Bids, accompanied by the Public Entity Crime Statement, a Bid Bond, and Tax Savings Agreement, must be submitted upon the standard forms included in the Contract Documents. Unit prices for any identified components must be included. The Port reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts of bids, waive any or all bid informalities, and to award the bid determined to be in its best interest, including negotiation on contract terms and pricing with the lowest bidder. Should negotiations fail, the Port may negotiate with the next lowest bidder. Bidders wishing to tour the site will have to meet Port security requirements, including valid picture ID, current vehicle registration, and evidence of insurance. Envelopes containing bids must be sealed and addressed as specified.
