The bidder must furnish all labor, materials, and supplies, and construct pedestrian crossing improvements in accordance with the contract documents, plans, and specifications. The prices shall cover all expenses incurred in performing the required work. The bidder agrees to commence work upon written "Notice to Proceed" and complete the project within sixty (60) consecutive calendar days. The bidder further agrees to pay liquidated damages of $500.00 for each calendar day beyond the completion period. Bids must include prices that cover all labor, materials, bailing, shoring, removal, overhead, profit, insurance, and related costs. All bids are subject to applicable Massachusetts bidding laws. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. The bid shall remain good and may not be withdrawn for 30 days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays, after the bid opening. Within 10 days of written notice of bid acceptance, the bidder must execute the formal agreement. The work consists of installation of precast concrete flashing beacon foundations, vertical granite curbing, cement concrete pedestrian curb ramps, hot mix asphalt sidewalk, traffic signs, pavement markings, restoration, and other work as described in the contract documents at various locations, Sandwich, Mass.
