**Disclaimer: Bidders must purchase their own bid documents if bidding** Sealed bids will be received for the following contracts ("Contracts"): a. Overall Single Prime (All of the Work, Lump Sum, All Trades, All Inclusive). A Pre-Bid Conference for the purpose of reviewing the Project Scope and any possible clarifications on the intent of the Contract Documents will not be scheduled at this time. Bids must be submitted on the proposal forms in the manner designated, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of Bidder and proposal identification number on the outside, and must be accompanied by certified check, cashier's check or Bid Bond drawn to the Order of the "Bernards Township School District", for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000); and must be delivered to the Business Administrator at the above place, by the hour named. The Board and the Board's Architect or Engineer assumes no responsibility for bids mismailed or misdirected. Each bidder shall submit with its bid, a Certificate of Consent of Surety as per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25 from a Surety company stating that it will provide the bidder and all subcontractors, if successful, with a performance/payment bond in the full amount of the contract. Failure to sign the bid bond by either the surety or principal and failure to submit the properly executed bid bond with the bid package, shall be deemed cause for disqualification and rejection of the bid. Failure to sign the Certificate of Consent of Surety by either the surety or principal, and failure to submit the properly executed Certificate with the bid package, shall be deemed cause for disqualification and rejection of the bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof, 18A:- 18A-36a. The Owner reserves the right to extend date, all rights reserved. The Owner reserves the right to reject all proposals or bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22, as amended and to waive any informality in the bidding. Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contracts pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. If the bid exceeds $20,000.00, all bidders shall pre-qualify as required by the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury, Division of Building and Construction, and each bid shall be accompanied by an affidavit so certifying pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-27 through 18A:18A-33 as amended and revised. All inquiries concerning prequalification should be directed to Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, 33 West State Street, Trenton, New Jersey 08608 Requests for such interpretations, to be given consideration, should be received, in writing, directed to the Project Manager, Mr. Michael Bryson at mbryson@usaarchitects.com no later than 3:00 p.m. prevailing time, nine business days before the bid opening. Requests received after the date and time indicated may not be considered. PROJECT DESCRIPTION A. The Project consists of Roof Replacement at Cedar Hill Elementary School for the Bernards Township School District, located in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, as well as related construction items in conjunction with the completion of the project as required by the Contract Documents for the Bernards Township School District. The project is single-prime, lump sum, all trades, all inclusive. Time is of the essence The extent of the contract work is indicated in the Contract Documents. 1. The Scope of Work also includes, but is not limited to, the complete removal of existing roofing systems, related flashings and accessories at the building, thus exposing the existing substrates. The Work includes patching or repairing any existing substrates found to be damaged and/or deteriorated, as well as any and all preparation work required to satisfy the conditions required by the specified manufacturers prior to commencing installation of all final work. Additionally, the Work includes the removal and reinstallation of existing HVAC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing components and equipment necessary to complete the project as intended within the Contract Documents. The Work also includes the removal and raising of existing through-wall masonry counterflashings to a new height elevation to accommodate the construction / roof replacement. Coordinated shut-downs of existing building systems may be required for the Project and must be included in the construction schedule.
