The Donner Lake Boat Launch Ramp Upgrade Project 2026, located at 11511 Donner Pass Road, Truckee, California, includes facility upgrades, but is not limited to, extension of the launch ramp to allow longer seasonal use of the lake, replacement of the boarding floats, removal and replacement of non-compliant accessible pathways making them compliant, revising the configuration and layout of onsite sidewalks and accessible pathways to promote a more efficient and compliant systems of walks, retrofit of the trailer parking layout for efficiencies and accessibility compliance, upgrade the handicap parking, mill and repaving of the parking lot, upgrade of facility signage, and cleaning of existing onsite stormwater treatment units (Project). There are also three additive alternates as part of this Project: (1) removal of the existing restroom facility and placement of a new, modular restroom facility; (2) removal of the existing fish cleaning station and placement of a new fish cleaning station; and (3) construction of a new kiosk shed for District staff. The decision whether to include any or all of the additive alternates will be made after receipt of bids and in concert with the Division of Boating and Waterways (DBW), the grant funding agency for this Project.Included with this Invitation to Bid are the Project Specifications, which provide more elaboration on the Project and the bidding requirements. Bidders are strongly encouraged to review the entirety of the Project Specifications prior to submitting a bid. There will be no pre-bid conference. Bidders shall carefully examine the site of the work contemplated and the Contract Documents. The successful bidder must possess at all times, at minimum, a valid California Class A license or a combination of California Class C licenses which constitutes a majority of the work. Bids will be considered only from persons licensed as required under applicable provisions of the Contractors License Law (Business and Professions Code, Section 7000, et seq.) and rules and regulations adopted pursuant thereto. Each bidder shall insert its type of contractor's license, license number, and other requested information in the place provided in the bid.Failure to possess the specified license shall render the bid as non-responsive and shall act as a bar to award of the contract to any bidder not possessing said license at the time of award. No bid will be accepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the Contractor's State License Law, Business and Professions Code section 7000 et seq. A bid security will be required of the Award Contractor to assure execution of the contract, see Project Specification 00430 for further information. Award Contractor shall submit a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, Faithful Performance Bond, and later a Warranty Bond, in accordance with Project Specification 00540, Sec. 1.2.
