Contractors must be registered before submitting a bid and prior to commencing any new work. Subcontractors are not allowed without written approval. When submitting a bid, bidders must provide their NYSDOL registration number and Certificate of Registration. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. Quotes for the design must be received by the specified deadline. Quotes may be hand delivered, mailed, or emailed, but must be received before the deadline. Arithmetic errors and correct labor wages must be checked. Quotes not reflecting the correct prevailing wages may be rejected. Tabulation of quotes will be posted to NYS Contract Reporter. This is a design only project. Only the quote proposal form provided is acceptable for submission. The project involves the DESIGN of the specified scope of work for the replacement of the 2nd Floor Egress Stairs at McKeel IRA, located at 25 McKeel Avenue, Tarrytown, NY. A 1-year warranty on material and labor must be provided and supplied. A mandatory site visit will be held on specified dates and times at the project location. Attendance must be confirmed in advance and recorded on a sign-in sheet. Late arrivals will not be permitted to sign in or submit a quote. No alternative site visit times are offered. The contract will be awarded to the most responsible and responsive vendor that provides the lowest cost and meets all requirements. The vendor must demonstrate 2 years of relevant experience on prior projects of similar magnitude and is subject to responsibility determination. Certificates of Liability Insurance and Worker's Compensation Insurance as well as completed Lobbying Law Forms and a signed Appendix A are required. All staff working at the project site must sign attendance sheets for record purposes. In the event of a tie, the contract will be awarded to the earliest received bid.
