Renovation of a municipal facility in Claremont, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
As of February 13, 2026 Project has been awarded to Queen City Roofing LLC, Awarded amount is not available. Sullivan County is looking for proposals from qualified local roofing contractors to replace the asphalt shingle roof on the Ahern Building (30' x 60') in Unity. The job includes removing the existing roof and installing a new one, including the small roofs over the windows and entry areas, with all labor, materials, supervision, disposal, and cleanup included. Site visits are encouraged and can be scheduled by contacting us. Scope of Work: Refer to Atachment 1 (Page 2) building layout and approved roofing products. o Full tear-off of existing shingles and underlayment, dispose of properly. o Inspect roof decking and replace any deteriorated sections with approval from the County. o Install ice & water shield (minimum 6 ft at eaves, penetrations, and exposed roof-to-wall areas). o Install synthetic underlayment on all remaining surfaces. o Install new architectural shingles. Color to be selected by the County. o Replace all drip edges, flashings, and pipe boots. Standard ridge cap (no ridge vent required). o Jobsite supervision, protection & daily cleanup. All proposals must include a lump-sum price for the full roof replacement with a unit price for decking repairs, list of products to be used, estimated schedule, and warranty information. Contractors shall assume all costs associated with preparing and submitting their proposal and are strongly encouraged to visit the site before bidding. The submission of a bid signifies that the contractor has reviewed the site, understands the conditions, and is satisfied with the methods and quantities of materials necessary to complete the work. No allowances will be made for errors in estimating or unforeseen expenses. Safety, Insurance, and Project Protection: Contractors must comply with all applicable laws, building codes, licensing rules, and worker-safety requirements. Contractor shall protect, indemnify, save, defend and hold harmless the Owner and its officials, agents, volunteers and employees from and against any and all liabilities, obligations, claims, demands, damages, penalties, causes of action, loss of services, compensation, costs and expenses, including but not limited to reasonable attorney and paralegal fees, which the Owner and its officials, agents, volunteers and employees may become obligated by reason of any accident, bodily injury, death of a person or loss of or damage to tangible property, which may in any way arise directly or indirectly in connection with or out of the services performed by Contractor or anyone directly or indirectly employed by Contractor or any other person or company retained in any way to carry on all or any portion of the services necessary to abide by the terms of the Agreement, including but not limited to any negligent, intentional, or wrongful act or omission by the Contractor or its officers, employees, or agents. The Contractor shall maintain liability insurance ($1M occurrence /$2M aggregate / $1M auto) and workers' compensation coverage for the duration of the project and shall provide proof of such coverage. Project Award: Prices are to remain in effect for a period of sixty (60) days from submission and are to remain firm once project is awarded to the successful Contractor. The County will consider several factors when selecting a contractor, including qualifications and experience, compliance with the proposal requirements, ability to meet the project needs, total cost, any exclusions or limitations, warranty terms, and the contractor's location. Sullivan County reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, waive minor irregularities, request additional information, or award the project in the manner that best serves the County's interests. The County may award one or multiple contracts or reject all bids if deemed necessary. Sullivan County is aware of the time and effort required to prepare responses and invites contractors to let us know of any requirements that are unclear and/or create difficulty in submitting a proposal.
