A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The bids are for a public works project that includes, but is not limited to: 1) 3,785 square feet of sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of sidewalk; 2) 84 sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of curb ramps; 3) 2 sawcut and remove ramp portion of existing curb ramp and wet set truncated domes; 4) 2,732 square feet of sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of concrete cross and/or longitudinal gutter; 5) 1,427 linear feet of concrete sidewalk grinding; 6) 17 linear feet of sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of concrete curb and gutter; 7) 195 square feet of sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of residential driveway; 8) construction surveying; and 9) all appurtenant work as provided in the Proposed Schedule of Work and Prices. The expected completion time for the project is 50 consecutive working days from the City's issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The work must be performed by a State of California Class A licensed contractor and in strict conformance with Specification No. SV 26-04. The project requires payment of State prevailing wage rates for Ventura County. The contractor may substitute securities for retention monies or request the City place such monies in an escrow account at the contractor's expense. Bids failing to comply with all applicable Labor Code requirements will be considered nonresponsive. Five percent will be deducted from each progress payment and retained by the City; the remainder, less previous payments, will be paid to the contractor.
