Site work for a water / sewer project in Chicago, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Furnishing of all supplies, materials, equipment, labor and superintendence for the Platte West Water Production Facility Fire Protection System Replacement, M.U.D. Group No. WP2247 / Job No. 100035000025. All bids will only be accepted electronically through the Procurement Portal. Bidders must comply with the Nebraska Foreign Adversary Contracting Prohibition Act and certify that neither they nor their subcontractors are scrutinized companies as defined by Nebraska law, and that no products or services originate with such companies. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the Platte West Water Production Facility; attendees must present a government issued photo ID. Bidders should confirm their intent and specify their role on the bid (Primary Contractor, Sub Contractor, Project Manager, Supplier, Other). Representatives of the District and Engineer will be present at the pre-bid conference to discuss the Project. District will transmit necessary Addenda to all prospective Bidders of record in response to questions arising at the conference. Oral statements are not binding or legally effective. The Project includes constructing the Work broadly described below, in accordance with the Contract Documents, with all related appurtenances. Work shown on the Drawings, or indicated in the Specifications, or indicated elsewhere in the Contract Documents is part of the Work, regardless of whether indicated below. The Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Demolition and removal of windows, a set of double doors, and associated fire protection shutters. 2. Installation of appropriately rated fire rated windows and double doors. 3. Painting of CMU walls within Filter Gallery. C. Contracting Method: The Project will be constructed under a single prime construction Contract . Other construction contracts have been or will be awarded by Owner that are in close proximity to or border on the Work of this Project. Work under these other contracts is briefly described in this Article. B. Grit Removal Improvements: 1. Principal Work Location: Platte West Main Water Production Facility Building, including Solids Contact Basins Ground Level, Solids Contact Basins Lower Level, Lime Feed Area, Lime Slaker Room, and adjacent areas. 2. Scope: a. Project involves: Modifications to the existing lime grit removal system and lime slurry feed system. 3. Contract times expected to start running on January 2024. 4. Approximate Substantial Completion: March 2026. 5. Approximate Final Completion: April 2026.
