Should a Bidder discover a discrepancy or an omission in the plans or specifications, he should at once notify the Purchasing Department so that an addendum can be issued. No explanation or interpretation other than an addendum issued by the City will be considered official or binding. The project includes the removal of the existing entrance sign and the installation of the updated facility name using existing sign materials, which will be modified and replaced as necessary. In addition, illuminated lettering will be installed on the side of the building to improve visibility and clearly identify the facility. This project is intended to enhance facility identification while efficiently utilizing existing resources. 2. SCOPE OF WORK 2.1. Scope of Work The successful bidder shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete facility signage updates for the Oscar Johnson Jr. Enrichment and Recreation Center, located at 710 Foster Drive. The work shall include, but is not limited to, the following: A. Removal of Existing Signage o Remove the existing entrance sign currently displaying Oscar Johnson, Jr. Community Center. Dispose of removed materials in accordance with applicable regulations or retain materials as directed by the City. B. Entrance Sign Update and Installation o Modify and update existing sign materials to reflect the new facility name, Oscar Johnson Jr. Enrichment and Recreation Center. o Fabricate and install the updated entrance sign using existing materials where feasible, with replacements made as necessary to ensure durability and quality. C. Illuminated Building Lettering o Provide and install illuminated lettering on the side of the building as designated by the City. o Ensure lighting is appropriate for nighttime visibility and complies with all applicable electrical, safety, and building codes. D. Electrical Work o Provide all electrical connections, wiring, and components required for illuminated lettering, including coordination with existing power sources. o Ensure all electrical work meets local codes and inspection requirements. E. Coordination and Compliance o Coordinate all work with the City to minimize disruption to facility operations. o Obtain and comply with all required permits, inspections, and approvals. F. Final Inspection and Acceptance o Complete all work in a professional manner consistent with industry standards. o Conduct a final walkthrough with City representatives and address any deficiencies identified prior to project acceptance.
