Springfield Township will receive sealed bids for the Springfield Township State Road Safety Improvements Project. The scope of work generally includes full depth paving, milling and overlay, drainage improvements, curbing, traffic signal improvements, pedestrian improvements, realignment of existing State Road Intersection with new roadway, and other related construction improvements. Bids must be submitted on https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond, certified check or cashier's check in favor of Springfield Township in the amount of not less than 10% of the total amount of the bid. The successful bidder shall furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and a Labor & Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, on bond forms provided by Springfield Township. All bidders must be PennDOT pre-qualified and must complete a non-collusion affidavit. The contract is in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and the successful bidder shall pay no less than the Wage Rates determined for the project as stated in the Contract documents. There is a zero percent verify requirement for MBE and/or WBE participation. Award of the Contract, if made, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, as determined by Springfield Township. Springfield Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids on any basis and to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law. No bidder may withdraw a bid after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Work will be substantially completed on or before October 1, 2026, completed, and ready for final payment on or before October 31, 2026.
