As of March 03, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Sealed proposals are requested for the general construction of the new police headquarters at 128 Main Street, Port Washington, NY 11050, under Contract G - General Construction. Proposals must be submitted in accordance with the specifications and enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the job name, and the bidder's name and address. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond amounting to five percent (5%) of the total bid, as a commitment to enter into a contract if accepted, and to execute further security as required for the contract's faithful performance. Certification of the bonding company is required. Bidders must agree to hold their bid price for sixty (60) days after the formal bid opening. Bids include all costs associated with the project, and by submitting a bid, bidders represent familiarity with the site and project conditions. A Project Labor Agreement (PLA) is in place for this project, and the successful bidder, all subcontractors, and sureties must agree to and abide by the PLA in the performance of project work. The Board of Commissioners intends to award the contract to the lowest qualified bidder meeting experience, technical, and budget requirements, but reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality, and accept the bid deemed in the best interests of the District. Prior to submitting bids, contractors must inform the Architect and Owner of any problems or inconsistencies in the bid documents.
