Renovation of a detention facility in East Fayetteville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
**Project Details Only: only the ITB document is available for this project** The work consists of providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the demo and rebuild of the water heating pumps at the Cumberland County Detention Center. The scope of work includes the removal of two existing base-mounted water circulation pumps and associated valves, connections, diffusers, isolation valves, and monitoring instrumentation. The contractor is to install two fully rebuilt pumps with an 18-month warranty, including grout bases with laser alignment, and new associated valves and instrumentation. Insulation is to be replaced up to 10 feet on both suction and discharge sides. A Licensed Electrical Contractor must handle all connections and disconnections and verify proper rotation. The contractor is responsible for BAS control coordination, OPS sequence verification, scheduling and ensuring proper startup, damage liability, pre-bid verification to avoid change orders, work area cleanup, coordination and communication with the Owners, and oversight of the project. All equipment must be submitted for approval prior to purchase. Permits, licenses, and all trash or debris removal are the contractor's responsibility. All work must be completed within 60 calendar days of commencement, and the project must be complete and turned over prior to March 27, 2026. Bidders must carefully examine the site and all bid documents, provide all necessary tools and means to complete the work, and bids must be signed according to firm or corporation requirements. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and requires compliance with North Carolina statutory licensing provisions for contractors. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.
