The Base Bid is for various work associated with asphalt patching and overlaying asphalt for the following streets: St. Joseph Street; Tetreau Street from Menard Street to 7th Street; Tetreau Street from 7th Street to 12th Street; and Tetreau Street from 12th Street to Gerald T. Peltier Drive. The Base Bid also includes any other miscellaneous work necessary to complete the project as described in the plans and specifications. Alternate #1 is for various work associated with overlaying asphalt on Iris Street, along with any other miscellaneous work necessary to construct this project as described in the plans and specifications. Bids must be submitted electronically through Central Auction House. Official Bid Documents must be accessed through Central Bidding, and registration is required. Bids must be submitted on the Louisiana Uniform Public Works Bid Form and only contractors and/or subcontractors licensed in accordance with R.S. 37:2150 through 2173 may submit bids. Contractors must hold a license in HIGHWAY, STREET AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION AND/OR HEAVY CONSTRUCTION AND/OR MUNICIPAL AND PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION. Liquidated damages for delay are set at $1,000 per day. Proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent of the proposal payable to the City of Thibodaux. All proposals must be fully completed, signed, and responsive to the Bidding Documents. Successful bidders must register with the Lafourche Parish Sales and Use Tax Department for use tax purposes. The deadline for submitting questions relating to the project is 5:00 p.m. local time January 6, 2026. The City of Thibodaux reserves the right to reject any and all bids in for just cause; such actions will be in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes.
