Renovation of a municipal facility in Hampton, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a three-story above grade, one-story below grade municipal facility.

The project consists of an electrical service upgrade at the Franklin County Courthouse in Hampton, Iowa. The building is three stories tall with an additional basement level. All levels except the third floor are to receive new branch panels per construction documents. Minimal metal stud framing and drywall work is to be completed at new panel locations as required. New acoustical ceiling tile and grid are to be installed on the second floor Probate Room. Site work is limited to sidewalk and asphalt paving patch work from new electrical service routing. The work includes demolition of the existing main service panel and installation of new service and feeders. Additional spare 1" conduits are to be routed from the main electrical room to individual floor areas as shown in the construction documents. The estimated construction cost is $265,000. Bidders must obtain sets of the Bidding Documents as described, deposit a required sum, and follow all instructions for return and refund. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid is required, and successful bidders must provide Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the Contract Sum. The project is sales tax exempt. Bidders are to submit their offers using the provided Bid Form and maintain a condition of irrevocability for thirty days after submission. The award will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, with the right reserved to reject any or all bids and waive informalities as deemed in the Owner's best interest. There are enhancement payments available for early completion, as well as liquidated damages for exceeding the specified changeover timeframe.
