Franklin County - County Courthouse Repointing Project Question Deadline 12/11/2025 Direct questions regarding this project to: General: Bergland & Cram Architects 115 South Delaware Ave. Mason City, Iowa 50401 Telephone (641)423-6349 Questions received less than 5 days before the Bid opening cannot be answered. Work Shall not begin until June 1, 2026. Substantial Completion shall be by August 28th, 2026. Final Completion shall be September 11, 2026. Signed contract and legally sufficient bonds meeting contract requirements are a condition of the County entering into a contract with the successful bidder. Upon notification of selection, Contractor shall (1) execute purchase agreement with designated supplier; (2) arrange for and process Shop Drawings, Product data and Samples, as required; (3) make all arrangements for delivery: (4) upon delivery, promptly inspect products for damage or defects; (5) submit claims for transportation damage; and (6) install and finish products in compliance with referenced Specification Sections. The work of this Contract is comprises of the repointing, repairing, replacing of masonry units as necessary. Stone repair, patching and replacement as necessary. And cleaning of all exterior stone and brick masonry of the " FRANKLIN COUNTY, IOWA: COURTHOUSE REPOINTING PROJECT", and related work. 1.2 CONTRACTS A. Construct the work under one Stipulated Sum Contract as follows: General 1.3 CONTRACTOR'S USE OF PREMISES A. Contractor shall (1) have the use of the premises as required for execution of the Work, allowing for Work by other Contractors: (2) coordinate use of premises under direction of Architect; and (3) assume full responsibility for the protection and safe keeping of Products under this Contract, stored on the site. Each proposal shall be sealed in an envelope marked "FRANKLIN COUNTY - COUNTY COURTHOUSE REPOINTING PROJECT, 12 1st Avenue N.W., Hampton, IA, 50411 ". Each bid must be accompanied in a separate envelope by a bidding check, bid bond or a certified share draft in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid price, said check being either a cashier's check, a check certified by a bank in Iowa or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States or a certified share draft on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States, and made payable to FRANKLIN COUNTY, as security that the bidder will furnish the required bonds and enter into a contract and furnish bonds within seven (7) days after the award of the contract to him. The FRANKLIN COUNTY Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities.
