The bidder's security must be 5% of the total bid amount, submitted as a cashier's check, certified check, certified share draft, or bid bond. The bid shall contain no conditions except those provided in the specifications. The successful bidder must furnish a corporate surety bond for 100% of the contract price guaranteeing faithful performance, payment of all materials and labor, indemnification of the City from claims and damages, and maintenance of improvements for four years after acceptance. Work will begin upon written notice to proceed and must be fully completed by October 1, 2026. Liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day will be assessed for late completion. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
