Pursuant to this request for proposals, proposals are sought for the repositioning, operation, and maintenance of the Childs Building and/or the repositioning, operation, and maintenance of the Coney Island Amphitheater, located in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York. Respondents may propose for either or both sites. Proposals that present a holistic programming approach and coordinate the use of both the Childs Building and the Amphitheater into a cohesive offering, whether through a single operator or a consortium, will be viewed more favorably. The goal is to maximize the Site’s potential as a vibrant community asset aligned with the Coney Island West vision plan and the 2009 Coney Island Comprehensive Rezoning Plan. The resulting transaction will take the form of a ground lease. Selection will be based on factors including the quality of the proposal, experience of key staff and subtenants, demonstrated success on similar services, and proposed financial terms. All respondents must comply with federal, state, and City laws prohibiting discrimination, and ensure participation of certified Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs). All respondents are required to submit an MWBE Participation Proposal. Detailed submission guidelines and requirements are outlined in the RFP.
