Renovation of a detention facility in Monroe, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

All work must be completed within thirty (30) calendar days and the building is to be occupied throughout the construction renovation work. Contractor proposals shall include all necessary mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work along with general construction work for a complete installation. The County of Monroe reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, to waive any irregularities, and to make an award that it has determined to be in the best interest of the County. 1. The County of Monroe ("County") is seeking a contractor to perform interior renovations of the Monroe County Main Jail, 100 East Second Street, Monroe, MI 48161 in accordance with the specifications outlined in this Request for Proposal ("RFP") and included drawings. This work shall include all labor, materials, equipment, permits, transport, supervision, and all other items or activities necessary to complete the project and meet the requirements of this RFP. 2. Contractors shall refer to the specifications outlined in the included drawings when developing a proposal for the project. These renovations consist of the addition of new interior block walls to create new distinct spaces for shower and lavatory-toilet combination fixtures. The existing radiant ceiling systems, cement plaster ceiling, and terrazzo floor will be modified to accommodate this renovation, as well as repaired or replaced as needed. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing will be added, modified, or replaced to accommodate this new layout where necessary. The work will include minimal penetrations through the existing mezzanine floor to accommodate new plumbing. Any portions of the third-floor ceiling modified or disturbed shall be repaired or replaced. Work shall include all necessary mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work for a complete installation.
