Renovation of a mixed-use development in Monroe, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and educational facility.
Separate sealed proposals for Prime Contractors are invited for construction work consisting of Boiler Replacement and Related Work at Hollywood Elementary School and Orchard Center High School for Monroe Public Schools. Proposals are to be for all projects and complete, including all trades (Sub-Contractors and Suppliers), as the successful Contractor will be considered a Prime Contractor entering into a direct contract with the Owner. Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting at the job sites. These meetings are for Prime Contractors only, to gain knowledge about the project, submit proof of qualifications for pre-approval, and receive clarification on bidding procedures, scope of work, and project concerns. The Architect will assemble an official list of approved bidders based on attendance, official sign-in, check-out of plans and specifications, and meeting minimum contractor qualifications. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal. The successful Contractor must furnish performance, labor, and material bonds if applicable. All bidders must provide sworn and notarized statements for familial disclosure and Iran Economic Sanctions Act compliance. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject any or all bids, or accept the bid that serves the Owner's interests. Question Deadline 03/04/2026 If any person contemplating submitting a bid is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the plans or specifications, or other proposed contract documents, or requesting a change, they shall submit to the Architect a written request for interpretation which shall be delivered to the Architect at least (7) days before the opening of bids.
