Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Kingston, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
In general terms, this procurement is to select a qualified general contractor which provides the best value for money to provide all construction related services required for the Williamsville Renewal Project. The project limits extend along Princess Street from Nelson Street to Division Street and the entire length of Garrett Street. The Frontenac Street Parkette component is located at the northwest quadrant of Frontenac Street at Princess Street. The City intends to establish an agreement with the general contractor for Construction Services and Risk Management for the assignment described in the RFP documents. The assignment generally includes, but is not limit to: o Combined sewer separation; o New water distribution system; o Electrical upgrades; o New fibre infrastructure; o Drainage improvements; o Traffic signal upgrades, compliant with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA); o Installation of AODA compliant pedestrian and cycling facilities (Active Transportation); o New transit pads; o Upgraded illumination; o Pavement rehabilitation; o Signage; and o Landscaping.
